An old brand and a young brand celebrated store openings on opposite coasts on Thursday night. Bottega Veneta, the 50-year-old fashion house helmed by Tomas Maier opened its second maison in Beverly Hills, while the five-year-old shoe company with a cult following, Aquazzura, celebrated its first brick in mortar in New York. Following cocktail events at each shop, the designers both invited a smaller crew to iconic hotels in each city for dinner and dancing. Here, a side by side comparison of the two events.

Bottega Veneta: The brand’s second maison touched down on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA.
