THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTERJulie Delpy also stars in the comedy-drama from Kurt Voelker.

Rising stars Josh Wiggins (Hellion) and Odeya Rush (The Giver, Goosebumps) will join J.K. Simmons and Julie Delpy in comedy drama The Bachelors.

Kurt Voelker (Park) wrote and will direct the film, which centers on a widower and his 17-year-old son who move from a small northern California town to Los Angeles, where their lives are transformed by a wry old friend and two extraordinary women.

Matthew Baer, George Parra and Windowseat Entertainment’s Joe McKelheer and Bill Kiely are producing the film, which is slated to begin principal photography in Los Angeles on March 14.

Windowseat Entertainment is fully financing the film with Fortitude International handling foreign rights while Gersh and CAA are representing North American rights.

“They are terrific young actors who will make a memorable on-screen pair, working alongside J.K. and Julie to bring Kurt’s emotional script to life,” said Baer of the young actors.

Wiggins made his feature film debut with his notable performance in Kat Candler’s Hellion, which premiered at Sundance 2014. He also starred alongside Josh Duhamel in Lost in the Sun and in Warner Bros’ family film Max. His upcoming projects include Elevation Pictures’ Mean Dreams which also stars Bill Paxton and Sophie Nélisse as well as Walking Out opposite Matt Bomer for Harbinger Pictures. Wiggins is repped by UTA and Corner Booth Entertainment.

Rush made her feature film debut in the Weinstein Co.’s The Giver, which also starred Jeff Bridges. She most recently appeared in Columbia Pictures Goosebumps, and will been seen next in Paramount Pictures Hunter’s Prayer with Sam Worthington. She’s repped by CAA and MGMT Entertainment.
